A California educator is a negotiated contract away from realizing his dream to be a director of schools. Dr. Matt Hixson, assistant superintendent of the San Jacinto, Calif. Unified School District for the last six years, was unanimously chosen by the Hawkins County Board of Education to become the next director of schools on Monday night.
